6 Key Requirements All Senders Must Meet to Get Into Gmail and Yahoo!
Starting in February 2024, Gmail and Yahoo will implement new requirements for email senders to effectively protect users from spam and ensure the deliverability of legitimate emails:

1. Authorize the sender domain using SPF
SPF is the list of email service providers (ESP) that are authorized to send email from your domain. With SPF, you prevent spammers from sending unauthorized messages that appear to come from your domain. To set it up, publish an SPF record on your domain that includes all the email providers from which you send email.
2. Authenticate the sender using DKIM
It is a protocol that links a domain name to an email message, allowing you to sign each email you send with your domain name.
DKIM adds a digital signature to the email to authenticate that the message has not been altered and that it comes from the authorized domain. This guarantees the recipient that it is really you who sent the email.
3. Configure DMARC
DMARC is a set of rules that indicate what the recipient's server should do with the email if it does not comply with SPF authorization and DKIM authentication. It is a third barrier that complements the two previous ones.
To create a DMARC record , you must have previously created and configured the SPF and DKIM protocols. To configure it, you must do so in the DNS management of your domain by creating a TXT record. The DMARC record contains instructions for the receiving mail servers on what to do with the messages whether or not they pass DMARC authentication.
4. Do not send campaigns from free senders, Gmail, Hotmail, etc.
If you send an email marketing campaign from a free email address such as @gmail.com, @googlemail.com, @hotmail.com, etc., your emails will most likely end up in the spam folder.
So with these new rules, starting February 2024, you won't be able to use a free email domain as a sender address, instead you'll have to use your own domain (e.g. @yourcompany.com ) and set up SPF, DKIM, and DMARC.
5. Keep spam rates below 0.3% in Postmaster Tools
You should keep your spam complaint rate below 0.3%. If spam complaints regularly exceed 0.3%, your emails are likely being delivered to the spam folder with little chance of ever returning to the inbox. You can check this in your Google Postmaster Tools account by simply entering your domain: https://postmaster.google.com/

How can I do all these checks?
These settings are all done on your domain, you need to be able to access the DNS records of your domains. You can find them at the domain provider where you have yours registered, or at the hosting provider where you have your website hosted.
