It is nothing new that mobile devices connected to the internet have already taken over internet users.
Almost all Brazilians already have a mobile device. See, at the beginning of 2017, there were 168 million smartphones in use. Now, the estimate is that, in 2018, the number of connected devices will be 236 million. This hypothesis came from the 27th Annual Survey of Administration and Use of Information Technology in Companies.

68% of smartphone users in South America check their devices every half hour or more. Do you know who leads this ranking ? Brazil with 78% of those interviewed;
Globally, 22% of smartphone users spend more than 6 hours a day using their phones. With 38%, Brazil is at the top of the list of connected users, even surpassing countries with larger populations such as China (31%);
Advertising via apps has also been growing, according to the infographic. 53% of respondents in South America took an action after seeing an ad on apps. This number exceeds the global average of 47%;
Another interesting fact is that 13% of people (global average) clicked on ads within apps. With this, we can conclude that it is worth advertising within apps via Social Ads or Google Adwords;
“Searching for information” is the action that global users are doing most on their smartphones (98%). Next, with 97%, are: email, navigation (GPS) and games. Shopping and booking products or services are functions that occupy between 80% and 89% of the global population;
These internet users prefer to communicate using instant messaging applications, 81% use this type of tool;
We at id5 are always calling attention to mobile , talking about responsive websites and applications. This is because 66% of users access e-commerce sites via mobile phones and 61% abandon sites that do not have good navigation .
