Most two years ago Vanessa Hofland-Noordervliet started the AH Studio. The in-house studio of Ahold Delhaize. A content machine that runs non-stop. In this HelloMasters Podcast we talk to Vanessa about in-housing and the content machine of Albert Heijn.


In-housing is an upward trend. But building an entire creative agency in-house is not something we see very often. Vanessa Hofland-Noordervliet saw disadvantages to working with many different agencies: little brand consistency , takes a lot of time and unnecessary costs. And what do you do then? “Bring as much creative work in-house as possible,” says the AH Studio Director.

She built a complete in-house agency studio in 2 years, where she leads 75 creatives. It consists of three divisions:

the creative studio
the business part

They make all sorts of things there. From the kuwait telegram data content you see on the digital screens to the Bonus folder.

Who is the director of the AH Studio?
After her studies in Film and Television Science, Vanessa worked on beautiful documentaries at Ireen van Ditshuyzen's production company, TV Dits. "I thought I would do the same in New York," says Vanessa. After her documentary time, she switched to the agency side at IJsfontein.

Vanessa started at Ahold Delhaize 13 years ago. She worked in various marketing positions. In 2019, she started AH Studio. Now she leads the entire in-house creative studio. Her motto?
