Integration of an online store with a wholesaler

Integration enables automatic downloading and updating of products on the store owner's website , including product descriptions, photos and technical parameters available in the warehouse. This is a huge saving of time and money. Depending on the platform, the stock is updated several/a dozen times a day, thanks to which the visitor to the website can order only products actually available in the warehouse of the wholesaler. If the product is temporarily unavailable in the warehouse, the owner of the online store usually has two options: the product will not be displayed in the store or it will be displayed without the possibility of ordering - information will appear next to the product, e.g. "product temporarily unavailable". Most sales platforms also offer the possibility of integration with Allegro.

However, please note that if you want your online store to rank in Google search results for product keywords, e.g. "light spelt flour", you should take care of unique product descriptions and, if possible, photos. Since the products are not physically available in the seller's warehouse, taking photos will be rather impossible. However, there is a way to do this, just edit the manufacturer's photo, make a mirror image, change the background, etc. By the way, pay attention to whether the manufacturer does not reserve the possibility of changes to the content or graphics in the contract.

Is dropshipping legal?
Yes, dropshipping is a legal method of running a store. It is a logistic office 365 database model used by many online store owners, you probably visit such sites regularly. Of course, as with any entrepreneur, you must complete many formalities to legally run your company, including accounting, income tax, ZUS contributions and many others.

That's not all - like any online store owner, you should include the following on your website:

identification data: company name, address, tax identification number and contact details,
online store regulations,
privacy policy and cookie policy,
GDPR documentation,
terms of returns and complaints,
in the case of order and contact forms, don't forget about the appropriate checkboxes.
To avoid disappointment, it is worth preparing a contract for the supplier with the help of a lawyer, which will regulate all the terms of cooperation.

Do I need to have a business?
Theoretically, no. In light of the regulations introduced by the 2018 Business Constitution, online stores operating on the basis of dropshipping can be run by people who do not have a registered company . Such a seller settles on the terms of an unregistered business, you have to pay tax, but there is no need to pay ZUS contributions. However, unregistered business has its limitations. Monthly revenues cannot exceed 50% of the minimum gross salary for a given year (in 2022, this is PLN 1,505 gross). This is not the only limitation, if you do not have a registered company, many wholesalers will probably not cooperate with you. In connection with the above, it will be more beneficial to register a business .

To sum up
