Today is the last day of the year! That's why we want to dedicate our last post of 2019 to reviewing the new features and changes in digital marketing that have surprised us the most this year, which comes to an end today.
Facebook logo change
One of Facebook's updates this year was a change to its logo. In addition, to generate brand awareness during the final months of the year, it has integrated it into its other products. The new feature is a simpler logo that adapts to the company's different products. So if we open WhatsApp, the logo is green, and if we open Instagram, it turns purple and orange. So, we digital marketers have it all over the place!
Instagram likes disappear
In recent months, one of the most controversial developments has been the gradual disappearance of likes on some Instagram accounts. The panama mobile database disappearance of likes represents a game changer, as the total number of likes can only be seen by the author of the post. The goal is to banish the dictatorship of likes. This change will likely bring benefits on a social level, but we assure you that influencers are not happy about it.
Google BERT, Google's new algorithm update
During 2019, we witnessed the biggest search engine update in recent years, called BERT. The goal of this change is for Google to process the language generated by the search engine more naturally. With this update, Google aims to analyze words as a whole, rather than individually, to understand the context. So, no more writing like and for robots.
The rise of smart speakers
Little by little, throughout the year, smart speakers have been integrated into more and more homes. We've even seen characters from television series interacting with Alexa or Siri. Their incorporation into everyday life has led companies to consider voice marketing and SEO specialists to incorporate voice search into their strategies.
These are just some of the new developments and trends that 2019 has brought us.
