How to find the main keyword and its long tails.

If you thought we would finally settle on the phrase “current science fiction books” to write an article about it, you are wrong. We are not finished with this Keyword Research yet.

In this class I will teach you how to better refine this keyword research and choose a related word with a higher search volume and all its long tails.

We first entered the phrase “current sweden phone numbers science fiction books” into Ahrefs’ “Keyword Explorer” section.

There we can discover something called the “Parent topic” of all the related keywords that in the end are the ones that provide the 637 visits per month to the post that appears first for “current science fiction books”:

“Current fiction books” .

This phrase, as we have already said, comes from a brainstorming session in which we put ourselves in the shoes of the potential client of the writer who wants to sell his book. What would his target audience be looking for? Current science fiction books could be a great phrase that would encompass his product: his book.

2) That phrase is searched 60 times a month in Spain.

It has 60 monthly queries on Google. A person who is not an SEO specialist might refuse to write an article about that phrase because it has very few monthly searches.
