Yandex.Kassa is the most popular payment acceptance platform in the Russian Federation. In early March of this year, the MARC marketing center reported that Yandex.Kassa had overtaken its closest competitor, Robokassa. In the fourth quarter of 2015, almost a quarter (24%) of websites accepted payments through Yandex.Kassa, compared to 18% for the same period a year earlier.

The first to connect the SMS payment service was the list of turkey cell phone numbers Celecom operator. A company representative told theRunet that the new service is not designed to attract new clients, but will help in working with the existing subscriber base. Clients will be able to save time due to instant payment.

"Competition in the telecommunications market is growing steadily, and the issue of customer loyalty is very acute. We must provide customers with the most convenient service. The new payment method will allow subscribers to significantly simplify the payment for our services. Now they do not need to go anywhere - for example, go down to the terminal. You can now pay for the Internet "in one touch" even if your account balance is zero and there is no access to the network"

The company believes that convenience and accessibility of payment for subscribers will increase payment collection.

Is it time to go "offline"?
The introduction of SMS payment during the general “onlineization” of business rightly raises the question of whether it is time for IT companies to develop other, more conservative methods of billing for their services?

In the end, market players must also count on those clients whose Wi-Fi is from their neighbors, and therefore works intermittently, or whose monthly Internet billing day creeps up unnoticed.

"Many users have great difficulty with the issue of paying for non-working Internet. Transferring money via mobile phone service solves this problem - the phone is always at hand! But we do not consider this method of payment as "opposite" to online services"
