Yesterday Microsoft announced its new operating system, called Windows 10.
Therefore, considering that Windows 8.1 is theoretically the company's ninth operating system, the sequence of numbers was skipped, in order for the next version to be number 9.
The head of the company's operating systems division , Terry Myerson, confirmed that Windows 10 will be compatible for use on PCs, smartphones and tablets, and will feature an app store available for purchase and updates.
Among the new features of the new Windows is the long-awaited spain whatsapp list of the Start button and a new menu of search tools integrated with results from the Web. The dynamic tiles, inherited from Windows 8, will be incorporated into the Windows 7 model with the possibility of being resized by the user.
All improvements are aimed at addressing criticisms made of Windows 8, which focused more on using touch screens instead of the traditional keyboard and mouse mode and a more user-friendly interface.
The expected start date for Windows 10 sales was not announced at this event, but it is expected to be available in 2015.
And starting today, the “ Windows Insider Program” will be available to developers and corporations to begin testing the “Technical Preview” of the new operating system.
