For a long time, we lived in a world where “thin” content worked just fine. That has changed somewhat, but most content is still not particularly new or useful. When you put out some basic SEO content, you hope that it matches the search interests of users and that they will click on the links. But as we discussed above, there is a limited number of search queries and interests.

In other words, the speed of content production will be "fast-forwarded" until the eyes are saturated.

Ben Tossell gives a good example:

Content repurposed beware…AI turns podcasts into audio and video clips.

Coming soon: Record a podcast and 10 clips will be purchase ebay user data automatically scheduled to be shared across all social channels.

So how do you increase engagement and conversion in a world flooded with content? Improve your core content.

People have gotten away with writing mindless, reusable content for too long. In the next decade, thoughtful people and those with useful, original ideas will be valuable.

The Long-Term Impact of Using Artificial Intelligence in Content Marketing
What will happen when artificial intelligence surpasses humans at writing original content? Some may be skeptical that we will get to that point, but we see it as inevitable. After all, what do humans actually do except synthesize ideas they have seen in the world, connect the dots, and repackage those related ideas into “original” content?

This is where communities will be critical. Human connection will always happen, and perhaps even more so in a world overrun by advanced AI marketers. But building communities takes time — and by the time you see your content marketing ROI slipping, it may be too late.
