"Pathological liar" and "worse than useless": the "nice things" that Google employees dedicate to Bard

Google's big bet on artificial intelligence (AI), Bard, is apparently clearly in need of improvement. And those who say so are the internet giant's own employees, who in internal messages criticize Google's new conversational chatbot with AI, calling it a "pathological liar" and begging the Mountain View company not to launch it to the general public.

A recent report by Bloomberg echoes such internal messages. In one such message, a Google employee notes that Bard routinely confronts users with potentially dangerous advice on virtually any topic (from landing a plane to scuba diving). “Bard is worse than useless: please don’t launch it ,” says another Google employee.

According to Bloomberg , Google greece number screening even ignored a risk assessment by the company's internal security team that determined that Bard was not ready for public release .

The Google report highlights how Google apparently ignored ethical issues when launching Bard in order to keep up with rivals such as Microsoft and OpenAI. While Google prides itself on the security and ethics that invariably permeate its work in the field of AI, this is not the first time that the American multinational has found itself in the spotlight for prioritising its business and neglecting security and ethics in this segment of activity.
