How does Google Ads work?
Advertisers create ads based entirely on keywords

This is called a query! Note that for the sake of this article, queries and keyword phrases are actually the same thing. Also, the distinction is that keyword phrases are the phrases advertisers search for, while queries are the relevant phrases users type in. Sometimes the question is a specific match to the keyword, while other times it is relevant. This brings us to the next step.
