Digital transformation: what does your company have to do with it?

Post by bitheerani44556 »

Digital Transformation is a concept that encompasses your company, even if it has not yet become aware of it. It goes beyond the use of technology to “solve specific problems”. It is associated with what I call “Digital Mindset”: a complete change in the way technology is understood and applied. It encompasses the vision of how the company, people and processes should evolve to create value for the various stakeholders: shareholders, consumers, employees, government and community.

Digital transformation is one of the most important trends in the business world. It provides guidance on how companies should work, market and innovate to compete in a constantly changing digital economy. It is profoundly and irreversibly changing relationships between individuals and the business environment itself, impacted by a wide range of challenges, but also opportunities. Understanding the level of “digital maturity” a company is at is imperative. Each stage serves as a guide to guide change from the inside out.

According to technology consultancy Altimeter, author of a study that scores the main levels of Digital Transformation in companies, awareness of one's own reality helps organizations to: 1) deliver meaningful and valuable restaurant email list experiences to customers and employees; 2) Develop business mindset, models and operations to overcome competitors; 3) Create innovative products and services, reducing threats from disruptive technologies; 4) Accelerate “go-to-market” initiatives, leveraging relevance and financial return; 5) Develop more effective actions to face new competitors.

Discover the six main stages of Digital Transformation within companies:

1- Business As Usual
Most traditional companies are at this level: they work based on a single business vision, inherited from past management; on what is familiar to them. They believe that there is only one path to follow. We can sum it up with the phrase: “don’t change a winning team.”

2- Present and Active
This is generally the stage at which companies are most open to Digital Transformation. As the name suggests, they become more active. Isolated and dispersed actions of digital experimentation and innovation, focused on the development and improvement of specific processes, are already beginning to be noticed. Companies at this level already have change agents concerned with implementing digital trends in their processes.

3 – Formalized
This is the stage in which a sense of urgency hits the company. Initiatives become bolder and change agents seek management support for new technological resources. Experimentation becomes intentional and executed at higher levels in the organization. Strategic investments in people, processes and technologies become real. Insights begin to emerge that guide the company on the “road” of Digital Transformation.

4 – Strategic (strategic)
Companies at this level already understand digital as a priority. Change agents have finally created the sense of urgency that is essential to stimulate transformations. Groups and work teams in the organization already recognize the importance of collaboration. Digital transformation is part of the development of strategic plans, with defined responsibilities, actions and investments.
