The crisis we are going through and the high unemployment rates we are experiencing today make the prospect of entering the job market quite discouraging. The young generation, recently graduated, has to use all the tools they have to find their dream job .

A good CV and a high average final grade are no longer foolproof strategies for landing a good position in a renowned company. To have an opportunity in this market in crisis, you have to let your imagination run wild.

So we ask: what do a song, an Amazon page and a roll of toilet paper south africa email list have in common? They all make for very creative professional resumes .

Singing the resume on the subway
We begin with the story of Enzo Viscaíno. A 24-year-old Spanish journalist, he found himself faced with the difficult reality of the job market. The situation was so bad that he even admitted on his blog that “I couldn’t afford to spend money on photocopies of my CV that would end up in the trash”.

He then had an original idea: to turn his CV into a song and go out on the streets to sing it, more precisely on the Barcelona metro. With the help of friends, he recorded the song, posted it on YouTube and, in no time, it went viral. Today, his professional career has been heard by almost 900 thousand people around the world and, of course, Enzo Viscaíno has found a job as a scriptwriter on Spanish television.

CV on cardboard
But originality doesn't only exist in the lands of our Iberian neighbor. Here, young Sofia Mesquita, 27, made a handmade Facebook page out of cardboard and posted the video on her social media account. To her surprise, she saw the video Looking for a Job go viral within a few hours.

A former press officer for a political party, Sofia Mesquita has a master's degree in Strategic Communication and a Mandarin course on her resume. However, these requirements were not enough to find her the job she dreamed of.

So she bought some white cardboard and drew all the steps for creating a profile on the social network . Three hundred and sixteen images later, photographed with her left hand while she drew with her right, she had created a unique CV that was seen by 35,000 people in six days. Eight interviews later, a social media management company for various brands hired her to join their team.

Come out of the shell
Making a difference in a sea of responses to a job offer was the goal of Liliano Pucarinho, 29. Self-employed since 2003, this Alentejo native from Estremoz went to study Social Communication in Abrantes. When he returned to his parents' home after finishing his degree, he found himself faced with the loss of his independence. In the meantime, he was waiting for his overdue salary from the regional newspaper Ecos.

A versatile person, Liliano Pucarinho's CV includes a range of skills: research, writing, photography and layout. While looking for a job, he decided to invest in a new graphic design for his CV. However, the big idea came later: he created innovative adverts, showing his availability for a job and shared them on Facebook .

original resumes

“Young creative man seeks chicken company to help him break out of his shell” is one of the slogans you can read in one of their advertisements.

Resume on toilet paper

The idea took a while to come to fruition, but it allowed Nuno Fonseca to go on several interviews. In fact, he joined a communications agency and won several awards and prizes, including:
