Shopify apps
Shopify is the king of e-commerce for small businesses (and it’s starting to make its mark in the corporate world) because it’s arguably the most user-friendly and flexible system on the market today. Someone with very little computer skills can create an entire online store in seconds with Shopify. And not only can they create an online store, but they can create an online store with the technical capabilities that Amazon dreamed of back in 2007. That’s because Shopify has thousands of app extensions that let you do just about anything you need. Shopify apps give you the ability to add anything to the basic Shopify package you have, so you don’t have to build anything yourself.
Of course, if you’re a new store or still very small benefits of using namibia phone number list you don’t need thousands of Shopify apps. The idea of having thousands of apps at your disposal is probably overwhelming. So instead of going through all the Shopify apps available to you, I decided to put together a list of 7 must-haves for any small (or new) store. (Note that they’re in no particular order.)
1. MailChimp for Shopify
MailChimp is sort of like the Shopify of small business email marketing – they really are top of the heap at what they do . If you don’t have one yet, you should get one. The starter plan is free, and if you need convincing that email marketing will make a difference to your business, there are some articles here .
The MailChimp app for Shopify is free if you just want to connect your MailChimp account to your store. But depending on your needs, you can (and should) develop a custom plan with MailChimp that will let you do things like send abandoned cart emails and run post-purchase email campaigns. The paid version will also give MailChimp access to your eCommerce, allowing MailChimp to track your customers’ purchases.
This app is 100% worth paying for. These aforementioned features will have a significant impact on your sales and customer service. For example, sending a follow-up email to an abandoned cart increases sales by 4.1%. This is significant when 75.6% of carts are abandoned.
