Google's First Algorithm: When SEO Was Child's Play

Post by ahbappy250 »

Only two activities:

On-page optimization .
Some hyper-ultra artificial links .
On-page optimization was a completely different thing than it is now: no semantics , no quality content . It was enough to optimize the title, description and insert as many keywords as possible into the web pages (the famous keyword stuffing).

At the link level , not much was needed. At the beginning, Google's algorithm could not accurately recognize an artificial link. Who knows if the founders of Google expected what would later happen - I think of Link Building , Private Blog Networks etc!

In 2000, Google had little interest in spam, instead portugal phone number it was focused on launching a whole series of services, from the Google Toolbar onwards. No punishment for webmasters and SEOs who made mistakes, just a slow and long wait, called at the time Google Dance .

The Evolution of Google's Algorithm: The First Penalties
In 2003, Google's first punishments
The first updates to Google's algorithm aimed at punishing those who had exaggerated with spam (or keyword stuffing) in previous years, date back to 2003 with the November update called Florida . The concepts of Keyword density begin to become important to indicate the need for a good balance between the keywords present within a text and the rest of the content.

SEO activity was enriched with new rules to keep in mind: but it didn't take much, all you had to do was make small changes and then... you were back on track!
