Mark Zuckerberg faces the worst crisis of his professional life

Post by samiaseo75 »

Zuckerberg really cut out to be a Steve Jobs emulator? Probably not. Jobs built his success by planting the seeds of innovation, and Zuckerberg has always built his triumphs by doing the opposite, by vilely copying the ideas of his rivals. When Facebook came out of the shell in 2004 , it did not do so based on a radically new idea.

Friendster and MySpace were born before Facebook, and Zuckerberg simply replicated many of the functionalities of these platforms so that his "creature" would prevail over ivory coast phone number data all the others. In addition, he was quick to buy potential rivals such as Instagram and WhatsApp before they became a real threat to his empire. And those competitors who rejected an eventual acquisition by Facebook were shamelessly copied by the company led by Mark Zuckerberg.

However, Meta is currently at a point where no acquisition (no matter how multi-million dollar) will be able to free the company from the jaws of the serious existential crisis it finds itself in.

Paradoxically, the crisis that Meta is currently going through has been contributed to by a company, Apple, whose previous leader has always been a kind of spiritual guide for Zuckerberg . The privacy changes implemented in the last year by the Apple company on iOS have taken voracious bites out of Meta's advertising business. In 2022 alone, such changes would have caused the company to lose $10 billion in its annual turnover.

With the cornerstone of his business, advertising, not generating as much money as before, Zuckerberg has decided to give his company a Copernican turn to focus on the metaverse , a metaverse in which he has already invested more than 10 billion dollars.
